Please note: I do require minimally 7-14 notice for orders, I typically cannot accommodate tight turnarounds. Please reach out if you have questions. Due to events & orders I may post a window of time below that I will not be accepting orders.

Very rarely will I be able to accommodate custom orders on the same day as an event.

June 2024:

I am already booked solid for the month between the two markets and several orders. I am unable to accomodate any further orders this month.

July 2024:

Please note - due to the high volume of orders I have in June I might adjust availability in July to give me some downtime to recharge and do some needed maintenance in the Nerdy Baker kitchen. Check back here for updated availability.

I offer baked goods containing ingredients that may be food allergens for some people, and many allergen-free products. While I carefully adhere to standard food safety protocols, the Nerdy Baker is not a certified gluten-free or allergen-free bakery. Baked goods are made in a home kitchen that also handles nuts, wheat, milk, eggs, soy, and other common allergens. If you have a serious allergy, please take this into consideration before placing an order, and let me know right away if you need items packaged separately.

About me

I’m Ryan, The Nerdy Baker, an east coast transplant making my home in Minneapolis. I’m a self-taught baker with a passion for cookies, pastry, bread, and cakes. I strive to create delicious baked goods that excite, surprise, warm, and comfort folx in my life - my friends and family, and my customers too.

I’ve had a love of baking since I was a child, learning from my mother (who had a cake decorating and chocolate-making business that turned into owning a chocolate and candy store for over a decade), my grandmothers and aunt, and lots of reading, TV cooking shows, and experimenting. I can talk for HOURS about the science of baking, the chemistry of flour and sugar, and the nuances of chocolate.

I officially started The Nerdy Baker in 2018.
